We offer a convenient online or in-person seminar

Obesity can negatively affect your quality of life. It’s one of the influential risk factors for serious health issues like heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, and even some types of cancer.

While you’ve probably heard that in order to lose weight, you have to change your lifestyle, you may find it easier said than done. And you may be one of those who end up not having any progress at all, despite a change in diet and exercise.

If that’s your case, then you may be a candidate for bariatric (weight loss) surgery.

Who is a candidate for bariatric surgery?

In most areas, qualifications for bariatric surgery include:

  • BMI of 40 or more
  • BMI of 35 or more with at least 1 obesity-related condition
  • Failure to achieve weight loss through conventional means for a period of time

Is it right for you?

Bariatric surgery is not a “quick fix” surgery. While it can certainly help you lose a significant amount of weight, but to sustain it, you have to commit to lifelong changes.

Foothills Weight Loss Surgeons of Knoxville want you to make a well-informed choice. This is why we offer FREE informational series to educate you about the surgery and what to expect before, during, and after it.

You can attend our seminar live/in-person with one of our bariatric surgeons, Dr. Mark Colquitt or Dr. Jonathan Ray, or may view the seminar online in the privacy of your own home.

Our online seminar is suitable for those who can’t make it in-person. The minimum requirements are a computer with a headphone or speaker, internet access, and the completion of registration for the seminar. To register to take the online seminar, please visit this link.
