Hi everyone, welcome to Abbey’s Kitchen! In today’s highly requested episode of What I Eat In A Day YouTuber Reviews, I will be discussing vegan Nutritionist, Healthy Emmie. A reminder that the information in this video is for education and entertainment purposes only and you should always seek the help of a medical professional for your unique case.

Veganism is the practice of avoiding animal products, notably in the diet, as well as an ideology that opposes animals’ role as commodities. Vegans are those who adhere to the vegan diet or philosophy. There are numerous types of vegetarianism that can be distinguished. Dietary vegans, often known as “strict vegetarians,” abstain from eating meat, eggs, dairy products, and other goods derived from animals. An ethical vegan is someone who not only eats a plant-based diet but also applies the idea to other aspects of their lives, opposes the usage of animals for any purpose, and attempts to avoid all forms of cruelty and exploitation of animals, including humans. Another phrase is “environmental veganism,” which refers to the avoidance of animal products based on the belief that industrial animal raising is unsustainable and harmful to the environment.

According to the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council, the British Dietetic Association, Dietitians of Canada, the New Zealand Ministry of Health, and the Italian Society of Human Nutrition, well-planned vegan diets are appropriate for all stages of life, including infancy and pregnancy. Vegan diets are not recommended for children or teenagers, or during pregnancy and lactation, according to the German Society for Nutrition, which is a non-profit organization rather than an official health institution. There is inconclusive evidence that vegan diets protect against metabolic syndrome, however some evidence suggests that a vegan diet can aid in weight loss, particularly in the short term.

Vegan diets have more dietary fiber, magnesium, folic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, iron, and phytochemicals while containing less dietary calories, saturated fat, cholesterol, omega-3 fatty acid, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, and vitamin B12. A poorly planned vegan diet may result in nutritional deficits that negate any beneficial effects and may create major health difficulties, some of which may only be avoided by eating fortified foods or taking dietary supplements. Vitamin B12 supplementation is crucial since a lack of it can result in blood abnormalities and potentially irreparable neurological damage; this risk is also one of the most common in ill-planned non-vegan diets.
