“I don’t like fancy food at all. I much prefer an extremely simple meal that’s exquisitely done… A perfectly cooked steak, a beautiful salad, some raspberries” – Audrey Hepburn.
Many people wonder how celebrities manage to have such fabulous figures. While some follow a strict diet, some are addicted to doing exercise, while others are naturally fit.
Some diets become popular from time to time as recommended by celebrities. For instance, the Cabbage Soup Diet of the 1980s, the early 2000s Atkins low carb approach once favoured by Renée Zellweger and Sara Jessica Parker, and the Zone, a 1990s favourite that has recently become popular again thanks to Jennifer Aniston and Cindy Crawford, who follow its rules of different rations of food eaten in measured amounts to regulate the body’s production of insulin.
Apparently, most celebrities follow their own diets, so here are some tips you might find useful:
Drew Barrymore: “I just think you should eat less of everything. A little bit less. I don’t want to live a life where you can’t have what you want; it just makes you want it more.”
Jessica Alba: “High blood pressure and cholesterol run in my family. From a young age, I knew that most people with problems that go along with these conditions can be fixed through diet and exercise. I altered my diet by eating lean protein, like chicken or fish, and lots of fruits and veggies. During the day I’ll have some dried fruit, or a chocolate or strawberry frozen yogurt, but I try to steer clear of desserts and bread.”
Angelina Jolie follows the Upside-Down Diet. She eats a gigantic breakfast, a small lunch and an even smaller dinner washed down with two litters of ice cold water to speed up your metabolism.
Miriam Hopkins banned fried food, spices and tarts, at the same time she stuck to three pet don’ts: Don’t overeat, oversleep, or oversit.
Kate Moss found success in the holistic detox diet. She lost eight pounds in 21 days by eating only from a constricted list of foods including red meat, nuts and tea. One of the secrets of this method is to chew food 10 times before swallowing to speed digestion.
Catherine Zeta-Jones doesn’t eat carbs after five o’ clock and hasn’t eaten chips since she was 14.
Charlize Theron revealed, “Barbecue is a big part of my life. For breakfast, steak and eggs. But I will not mix sugar and salt like the American breakfast of pancakes, eggs and bacon.”
