What Is High Functioning Autism? 7 Things You Should Know



High-Functioning Autism (HFA) is not recognized as a medical diagnosis. Rather, it refers to people with a much milder form of autism, who need only minimal supervision and has no intellectual disabilities. Still, High-Functioning Autism is still autism and it’s not an easy condition to live with. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties with social interaction and communication. Want to learn more about high functioning autism?
